Poomsae Events for Developing and Elite Athletes
Taekwondo New Zealand is preparing for 2024, and invited all athletes, coaches and selectors from our community with ambitions to participate in international level Poomsae competitions to register on the 2024 Long-List. This expression of interest closed on the 17th November 2023.
The TNZ Board has indicated a desire to send a National Poomsae team to the 2024 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships, scheduled to be held in Hong Kong (at present, November 2024). Eligible Athletes and Coaches on the "Long List" will be considered for National team selection towards the upcoming international Poomsae competitions such as the World Poomsae Championships 2024 and the FISU World University Games Germany July 2025*.
Athletes that registered on the Long-list are expected to attend all “National” training events and athlete ranking/selection events.
National Training events are open to athletes registered on the Long-List.
Regional training events maybe open to anyone seeking to improve their competition Poomsae - this is at the discretion of the regional coach.
More events to be added throughout the year.
