Jin Keun Oh
President
Jin Keun Oh has a wealth of experience and knowledge within the Taekwondo world having been a former New Zealand Olympic Coach for over the past decade. In conjunction with the board, he provides guidance with the direction the organisation takes and in particular the management of stakeholder relationships on a national and international level including World Taekwondo and Kukkiwon.

Sophia Haynes
Vice President
Sophia Haynes has extensive governance experience with Taekwondo Union of New Zealand and has been active in Taekwondo over the years as an athlete, an instructor, an examiner and as an international referee. Sophia’s passion is to develop taekwondo within New Zealand and ensuring that taekwondo as a martial art remains inclusive, for all ages and physical abilities. Her hope is that everyone can challenge themselves in their own personal taekwondo journey, may it be on the regional, national, continental and world stage.

Darryl June
Secretary General
Darryl June will undertake the role of Secretary General for TNZ. This role sees the formal communication lines maintained with third parties. It is a transparent role that must encompass and promote the integrity of the organisation for its members.

Selena Chhika
Treasurer/Finance
Selena Chhika has been involved in taekwondo ever since she was old enough to step onto the mat. Now a 4th Dan black belt, she has experience competing internationally in poomsae and when not competing, can often be found behind the kyorugi desk running the electronic scoring system.
Selena is passionate about making taekwondo accessible and inclusive, especially by supporting opportunities for female athletes and encouraging greater participation at all levels. Selena aim’s to be a voice for our taekwondo community and to help grow the sport across the country.

Natasha Swainson
Communications Manager
Natasha Swainson is a member of the Taekwondo Union of New Zealand and has experience in communications via website and social media which she administers for various organisations. Natasha is actively involved in Taekwondo aa a member of a local club and has family who also share her passion for the martial art and sport.

Board Member
Geoff is a business leader, a father, and former Taekwondo athlete with extensive experience driving efficiencies and transforming organisations. He is passionate about modernising and developing the sport of Taekwondo in New Zealand, and elevating young athletes to compete and win medals in international competition.
