In October of 2024, Taekwondo New Zealand will have athletes attend and compete in the World Taekwondo Junior Kyorugi World Championships, to be held in Korea.
It is envisioned that TNZ will send a strong team to this world class event. TNZ is asking for athletes who wish to compete for a position on the TNZ Junior

Senior Kyorugi Squad
Our athletes, coaches and supporting officials have gained a great amount of momentum for our senior kyorugi athletes over the last 3 years.
TNZ wants to continue to build on this work to support and develop kyorugi athletes, with the intention of laying the foundations to provide opportunities and pathways for success at elite international events.

Coaches and Trainers

It is envisioned that TNZ will send a strong team to this world class event. TNZ is asking for Expressions of Interest from Coaches and Trainers who wish to work alongside the TNZ National Kyorugi Coach, Rohullah Nikpa, in preparing the selected athletes.

Selectors for the 2024 Selection Panel
Taekwondo New Zealand is calling for expressions of interest to be apart of the 2024 selection panel for kyorugi. This is a vital role to ensure that athletes are fairly selected to represent New Zealand at international team events.
National Team Selector(s) – maximum of 5
The members of the Selection Panel will be nominated by the TNZ High Performance Director to the TNZ Board for confirmation or rejection. Confirmation of a nomination will be followed by a formal TNZ Board resolution appointing the Selection Panel members (individually called “Selector”).
The Selection Panel will be made up of five (5) selectors, appointed due to their role within TNZ, integrity, knowledge, experience and fairness within the sport.
