Annual General Meeting
The current Executive Board of Taekwondo New Zealand (TNZ) would like to take this opportunity to announce that it will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, the 7th of May 2026, starting at 8.30 pm. We would like to invite all members of our community to attend.

Important note: Clubs that are eligible to vote, i.e. Gold Clubs, please nominate your voting person or proxy person by 6th May 2026.
Treasurer Position and Nominations
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Master Selena Chhika, who was elected as treasurer at the 2025 AGM, for all the work she has done. For personal reasons, Master Selena decided to stand down as Treasurer at the end of 2025. The TNZ Board would like to thank Maria Stanton, who has been filling this role as Acting-Treasurer, for her time and commitment to the role.
As this role is an elected or Titled Elected Board Member role and there were no other candidates at the 2025 AGM for Treasurer, the TNZ board would like to request nominations from its membership for candidates to be elected as Treasurer, for the remainder of the current term, which is 2025 to 2029. Nominations are to be submitted via the candidate nomination form and must be returned via email by 17th April 2026.
Please note: As per the Taekwondo New Zealand Constitution Article 7.4 (below) and the current gender balance of the TNZ board, the person nominated should identify as female, to adhere to the TNZ Constitutional rules.
“Article 7.4 TNZ supports gender equity and, as such, at least 40% of the Executive Board must be of either gender.”
Agenda Items
For those wishing to submit agenda items for the AGM, these need to be submitted to the board by 17th April 2026.
The Agenda for the AGM will be made available to the TNZ community at least 7 days before the date of the meeting.
